As you may know, Perry Boucher was recently denied the renewal of his contract with Souderton Area High School. As senior members of The Big Red Marching Band and Mirage Indoor Drumline, Allie Manning and I, Alyssa Ascher, have decided to petition this and ask you to help us. To us Perry has been one of the greatest roll models and teachers in our lives. He has helped to give us a high school experience we will always remember. He has gotten us the medals we've dreamed of getting from our first days in indoor, as well as gotten the lines many championships in the past. For marching band he has gotten the drumline high percussion and also has stepped up and done things that aren't even part of his job such as keeping practices going during the 2008 marching band season when the strike kept out instructors from running it. Overall he has changed many of the students lives who have had him as an instructor or who have gotten to work with him in any way and we feel that it is outrageous for the school to let him go. If you feel the same way, and would like to take part in our plan to get him back, please sign the petition! Our goal is 100 signatures so the more we can get the better!
