To whoever it may concern, I as a student at Southwest Miami Senior Highschool am beyond outraged. I have never seen so many wonderful teachers let go at this school and watching students suffer as a result. We suffered massive amounts of hospitalizations of students last year and only one person handled them all and further prevented them. A person who saved so many lives and was there for so many students unlike I've ever seen, someone who I can personally acredit to saving my life along with another teacher due to my depression; Andrea Fletcher. She was our school trust counselor. That is right, she "was". She was the only counselor that has never failed me as a student and made sure my needs were always taken care of because she genuinely cared. I'm seeing teachers who actually cared about students being let go, our schedules being changed and throwing us into random classes and confusing us greatly, disrupting our school lives as every time we're switched we have to find out what's going on. We're not even notified until we get to the class being removed about the changes. Ms.Rodriguez was one of the most amazing and caring teachers I have ever seen, educating students on those who want to take the career path of photography. This is the second class I have been removed from. Many people, I included, have now suffered blows to our career paths as we now have to scramble and put our portfolios together by ourselves so we can submit our college applications. Are we just numbers to you? Do the well being and safety of children matter to you? I still see horrible teachers who bring students down walking around as we sit and wait worrying which one of our amazing faculty we will lose next. Something has to change, something's gotta give. We are not just numbers, we are students, people who are in your county trying to lead the future, but it's hard when those with amazing leadership roles that we look up to are leaving us.

We students await your response, Miami Dade County. What are you going to do for us?
