We hope that this reply is not too late, but we want to support the movement to keep Dave on the staff. He has been very helpful in the development, placement and maintenance of snow fences. That his tory will be difficult to replace.

Dave has ALWAYS been there when needed. He has a knowledge of the park's road, unlike anyone else. PLEASE reinstate him. (Owners since 1994)

Besides being efficient & able, Dave lives in the park, and is able to always clear roads in a timely fashion. He's helped us on numerous occasions.

Dave has the most experience on our roads. He started over 30 years ago.

Yes Dave has his faults but don't we all? I have always been pleased with what I have seen him do.

I think he does a good job, is always friendly and helpful, and our roads are in good shape this year.

The roads are the best they have ever been. Dave has helped many people who live here in the winter.

Jean Swenson United States, Clay CenterWe have been looking for property around the area and have looked at some in your park and met some of the people. You have the best road conditions that we have seen. Not sure why you would fire someone who has done a good job. I think it would be to your advantage to have someone who lives in the park to take care of them.

I can't tell you the number of times Dave has helped me in treacherous conditions. Without him, we are all a little more in danger up here. His firing is a terrible mistake. He needs to be reinstated immediately. Dave is not only a great asset, but he is family. Time we went back to that concept in Forbes Park.

It looks like the old politics are back in play. I like others believe that Dave is a asset that should remain on the payroll. Any complaint lodged against Dave should be handled by his supervisor and worked as that level, Dave Smith

The value of a resident road man is with out need of discussion. I believe this is the second time in a few years he got us through winter to be set aside in summer. I don't see that as fair nor a dignified way to present ourselves. Thanks James

A huge injustice has occurred with the recent firing of Dave Leighninger. He has done an excellent job with maintaining the roads through all seasons. The added complaint of driving too fast sounds like nothing more than a witch hunt. Dave needs to be put back on the payroll ASAP!!

I appreciate all that Dave has done for those of us in Forbes Park from keeping the roads in good shape to being there to help us out when we need help. I hope that you will reconsider your action as Dave is skilled in taking care of the roads and has proven over and over he is a good neighbor to all.

Dave is our closest neighbor and we've known him since the mid-80s. He's helped us and several of our friends to get unstuck in mud and snow, independent of the time of day or whether it's a weekend or not. And the roads all seem in very good shape. If driving too fast is the issue, an admonition is in order, but being fired should be just a last resort.

I'm still trying to make sense of the recent decision made by the board members. Who fires someone who did their job and did it well? Who fires someone who was willing to get up in the middle of the night to plow snowy roads to ensure that residents could get to work or get to their various appointments timely? Who fires someone who was friendly and willing to help others in need? In short, Dave is a valuable asset to this park and should be reinstated.

Dear Board, Please rethink your letting Dave go and reinstate him. Having Dave in the Park in the winter is without a doubt a real asset. The membership supplies the monies to run the Park, and has the right to tell the Board where they want their monies spent. And the Board should follow the memberships wishes and we wish you to put Dave back on. Best Regards, Michael Schrotenboer

Something doesn't add up when a person is fired after so many years of doing a good job. The complaints sound like manufactured excuses because someone on the Board wanted him gone.

Dave pulled me back on he road one winter night when I had slid off into a snow bank on Emory Loop. I have seen him plowing roads at night and on weekends. He goes beyond duty to help us and should be hired back and given a raise.
