Please take notice BD. return it to how it was. The nationals could be renamed more appropriately the Charlotte Dujardin and Mount St John show with the way things are at the moment.

The old system was so much simpler with the open and restricted. Also I think fairer. BD members are looking heart and some are giving up competing altogether. Please listen to your members.

I am a bronze rider who competes at Elementary although I am currently not a member I will be joining again soon as I had a horse in rehab for 18 months and sadly PTS so my membership lapsed. I have just bought a new horse and hope to get out competing soon. If I want to try and qualify for regionals I have to compete in silver with professionals and semi-professionals. Gold seems to be for the selecct few like Charlotte DJ. Why are the other professionals and semi-professionals not competing in gold??? Bring back the old system - restricted and open. PLEASE!

The current system not working fairly as some riders are abusing it the old Restructed and Open was much fairer and easier

I agree there had to be on overall of open/restricted structure. However the g/s/b has been a retrospective step and extremely complicated. Just introduce a professional section to o/r.

Much prefer the old system, understandable, fairer and less complicated! I have no idea whether I'm bronze silver or gold half the time, so just enter gold because I can't be wrong. I don't think it's fair that venues end up handing out more rosettes, and it's wrong that people can win on percentage that's below 60%, as its not really a winning score, but they were the only people in their section! I don't really think any competitor, judge, venue, or coach really understands it.

I much preferred the old open and restricted system, the new system is so difficult to understand and unnecessarily complicated.

I'm ready to give up. Every time I look something has changed carnt keep up with it.I know it must be difficult to please every but most people I speak to would go back to the old system. Also if another association was to start up with the restricted and open sections you would loose a lot off members

Agree with others that the old system was simpler to follow and more easily allowed young horses to get much needed experience in the environment without any pressure on the rider.
The new system doesn't prevent professional riders competing in the bronze section, meaning part of the purpose given for making the changes hasn't worked. Only a few honest pros actually compete in the section they should meaning that amateurs still don't easily get the chance to compete at the regionals and nationals.

Current competition structure is ridiculously complicated and has failed in its objectives so therefore is not fit for purpose in its current form.

The complications put people off joining as it's no clear what is what and where you'll go with it

The new system makes competing as an amateur virtually pointless

Its not working if you are competing against the likes of Charlotte and Carl in the lower classes. I dont think its worth the membership
