Last week Ned & Josh went into work to do their show. This was just like any other day for them and for us - the listeners. What no one, other than the Amplify management, knew was that they would be locked out of the building immediately after leaving for the day and advised in text they were yesterday’s news.
Amplify have confirmed no wrongdoing by Ned and Josh and that they are simply “finished” with this show and will be announcing the new direction later this week. How can we stand by and allow our own community members to be treated this way? Right before Christmas?!
This is tall poppy syndrome amidst a toxic workplace culture, and we have an opportunity now to let Amplify’s management and board know that they have made an incredibly poor strategic decision for radio in this region.
These wonderful humans have bolstered and reassured us every morning for six years and have given so much of themselves to this community and charities we all love and support.
We would like an apology from Amplify management and the SCA board. They have used these young men as their puppets to gain a mass of love and support for their own financial gain.
Our community are educated, and we’re motivated to do the right thing. We will not settle for this.

Amplify management continues to stay silent while they ignore the messages we are sending them. Post the petition link to your Facebook page today and tag their official account so they cannot hide from our reaction. Call their main office line and demand an apology for how these two were treated.

The sneaky way that Ned and Josh were let go is pretty horrible. Just like Scotty and Nige years ago. Maybe there shouldn't be surprise firings without an immediate reason?
As an older Canberran it was a pleasure to listen to Ned and Josh rather than the sanctimonious judgemental rubbish of the other station. This was the only show on 104.7 worth listening to.
Absolutely appalling way to treat staff! I was shocked to hear off Ned and Josh’s mistreatment. I always enjoyed listening to the boys on my way to school drop off with my children each morning.
That’s guys have been the healer of my mental health and help me through my anxiety. They are what keeps me going. Don’t take them off the airwaves. People need them.
There is an ENORMOUS hole left in the morning run for so many people in Canberra now. The brutality of this strategy in a public domain is outside of acceptable by the standards with which we value ourselves in Australia. Hit Network - DO BETTER!
LET THEM BACK IN
Boycotting until Ned and Josh are back on air. Kristen and Nige will have to do for now.

I’ve stopped listening to commercial radio altogether after this disgraceful treatment of Ned and Josh, it was the final straw. Done.
