This is ridiculous to hear of a teacher being fired for a breach of her private life by a student on school property during school hours. If anything the school should be there along side police in charging this student appropriately for the matter.

Signing to show my support, but getting her job back at the same university may not be the best solution at all, environmental pressure and all that.

We are often TOLD to leave the room to man the halls. She was doing her job. All phones have the potential for pornography.

The superintendent is playing politics . Reinstate Mrs. Arthur. Her efforts as a teacher speaks for itself.

An education administration should have a more competent understanding of right and wrong. This action does not show any level of it.

As a teacher I am disgusted by the superintendent and the blame he puts in this woman. Our country's educators deserve only the highest respect.

This is a shameful abuse of power by Mr. Eubanks and he should be terminated.

this is unfair! The student is fully responsible, not the teacher!

The simple problem is that no child will ever be held accountable for actions against an educator. Educators are expendable. We are not allowed to not be able to know all and see all. Lord help us if we have to go to the bathroom. Society is getting what it allows education to do, turn out spoiled, lazy, unmotivated adults that think the world owes them a living.

Administrators are wrong. They are the ones who deserve to be fired.

We don't have enough competent science teachers to be throwing a good one away on the whims of an asinine superintendent, and the mistakes of an adolescent boy.

Give Mrs. Arthur her job back. This is horrible! Stop blaming teachers for the bad behavior of children. Mrs. Arthur did NOTHING wrong.

She should have had her phone locked but the student should have been suspended at the very least.

The teacher being forced to resign is disgraceful. The student should face charges for invasion of privacy and slander. It should be the principal and superintendant who resign.

I am disgusted by the superintendent 's actions in this case. The teacher should be reinstated immediately.
