You don't punish teachers for student misbehavior, those responsible for firing her are irresponsible and incredibly stupid. They should be fired for their bonehead actions!

This situation is completley inacceptible! Regardless if you believe that she wasn't where she was supposed to be, the student committed a crime. It was not in any way provoked by her, and she should be able to expert that her students follow the law at the very least. This was not her oversight. This was a serious crime that she became an unfortunate victim of. She should not be fired for this, unless you want to set an example for the students that says infringing on other peoples privacy is fine, even admirable.

Are you kidding??? This school is sending out the worst message to their kids. She did nothing wrong and it was HER privacy that was breached, the student should be disciplined.

News of this incident has reached the UK. Your region, and your school in particular, is now seen as the epitome of injustice, violation of employee privacy and backward thinking. But perhaps you can rectify this blot on your international reputation by reinstating Mrs Arthur.

That this situation ever arose ever was sincerely regrettable, that the school authorities should compound this by removing a teacher for being the victim of a crime perpetrated by a student is absolutely, completely, and totally unacceptable.

This is their of property and intellectual rights. The teacher should not be punished for the students crime. Teachers have enough to deal with in the daily running of a class without the lack of support from the administration. Mrs. Arthur should not have been forced to resign.

The school's responsibility is to teach children how to become upstanding citizens in our society. Making a public statement that the victim is at fault is doing the exact opposite of that. If this stands, the administration is DIRECTLY responsible for perpetuating rape culture and poisoning its student body with victim-shaming rhetoric. THAT is an action worthy of resignation, not the actions of this teacher.

This is outrageous that the superintendent is pushing the blame towards the teacher! I hope a secret of the superintendent is leaked and see if he blames himself for it.

That student was COMPLETELY out of line, and the teacher had shared her picture COMPLETELY in confidence. She wasn't a promiscuous actress (which shouldn't be grounds for firing anyway) and that child should be punished SEVERELY for both theft AND slander. The fact that 15 thousand people have to even say this is ridiculous.

Bloody disgusting, Mrs Arthur would never have lost her job in England, however the student would most definitely be facing expulsion and criminal charges of theft, possibly invasion of privacy as well. Need to step on misogyny wherever it raises it's ugly head.

She should've had a passcode. But what the student did was far dumber.
