Why should the teacher suffer when the pupil should be held accountable for their actions! Regardless of his age his actions were inexcusable, making the teacher suffer just reinforces the message that pupils of this generation have more power and rights. No wonder there's a lack of teachers if their human rights are not protected due to unruly and disrespectful pupils!

This another case of victim shaming. The student was wrong not the teacher. She is the victim here.

The student is totally out of order and needs dealing with . Everyone has a right to privacy.

No teacher should be fired because of stupid actions of a child who can't keep his hands to himself or has a grudge against that teacher. Why should he get away with theft and she get fired. This really makes my blood boil. I might be from the UK but everywhere we are too soft on kids and teachers end up losing their jobs because over their viscous pranks.

Completely unfair on the teacher when it's clear student violated her privacy.

Hope the person who decided to sack her is soon reunited with their home village , as the villagers are really missing their idiot .

This is data theft, and the Dr Eubanks makes no statement about a student resending what would be termed inappropriate pictures by a minor.

The teacher shouldn't have been punished for the actions of the student who wasn't punished for illegal access to the personal information.

The superintendent should be the one hanging his head in shame here- the teacher should never have been dismissed- an example of the idiocy that is coming out of America too often these days

Mr Eubanks, If you don't reinstate Ms Arthur you will not only lose a hard working, dedicated, wonderful teacher who will no doubt be snapped up by another school that's run with common sense, you'll also lose the respect of the students, teachers, and parents, Let this wrong be righted before this whole sorry affair leaves a long lasting dark shadow on your own career.!
