Give Mr. Ashton his job back, rumors are rumors. He is being treated unfairly as well as discriminating against him.

So pathetic the desperate attempts to silence the growing number of voices in opposition to this ridiculous farce of a test. The paranoia just keeps growing. Give this man back his job so he can carry on educating his students.

We sign an oath when we get our professional certificate that states we will do THE best for our students ethically and morally--it seems that everyone from teachers, psychologists, pediatricians to child development specialists all agree that Common Core and PARCC or whatever you want to call it is NOT in any way, shape for form good for any student. It is NOT a diagnostic test. It is NOT good for the student emotionally as it tells the student they are a failure--a failure on an invalid test. It does not test the actual subject matter in a clear and concise way. THIS teacher was only holding himself true to his oath and protecting his students. How DARE you remove him from his position. What country do we live in now? North Korea? China? Since when do we not have freedom of speech? Since when is a teacher NOT the authority on the students in their classroom. Since when is a test written by a business trumping a true education? Return Mr. Ashton to his classroom and students. This is a horrendous lesson in civics for his students. Shame on you!

I am anxious to see what happens if Mr. Ashton is not returned to class. The wrongful termination suit will cost plenty. It would be best to bring him back immediately.

It is deplorable that an institution of education would punish an educator for speaking the truth with students and demonstrating to them the merits of defending their rights in a democratic society.

I am taking this test and will wear a shirt asking for my teacher back. The students will not be distracted so therefore I don't have to take it off!
