It's not JUST about bringing back our teacher -- we understand that. It's about showing the school department how pointless and ridiculously anxiety-inducing the PARCC and other standardized testing is.

you should be proud to have a teacher like Mr. Ashton on staff. the studrnts trust and respect him because he does not lie to them. He did nothing wrong by dispelling harmful, shameful rumors that had had designed to bully students in to taking a test that is not in their best interest. He did NOT tell them to opt out he simply dispelled a rumor. shame on the administration for perpetrating a lie and wrongly punishing this teacher thereby punishing his students as well.

Mr. Ashton has taught me courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control and has given me an abdominal spirit. I will keep these teachings for the rest of my life, and share them with the nation as we fight standardized testing. I am in full support of every single student fighting for Ashton and the removal of PARCC.

This is just plain stupid, there is no reason to suspend a teacher for telling the truth about what's going on behind the scenes of someone's education.

The Principal should be reprimanded for putting this teacher on suspension. The teacher gave factual information to the students and calmed the situation. The Principal ignited the situation.
