Bring back Mr. Sheehan

If you were to check out Trinity's newly designed website - you would see the words - "safe and caring environment" and "faith, scholarship, and character" under the title "Our Mission". The Diocese of Manchester's website uses "safe haven", "community" and "home away from home" in describing why Catholic schools matter. When I read through the responses to this on-line petition from students, parents, grandparents, and alumni, I can't help but feel that Bill Sheehan has been putting into practice the words used by Trinity High School and the Diocese of Manchester. The impact that he has had on so many is evident. I urge the Trinity Administration and the Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Manchester to work with the parties involved in a spirit of respect, compassion, and forgiveness to resolve this unfortunate situation and that Bill Sheehan be welcomed back to Trinity High School.

Are you kidding me? Really? This man IS Trinity High. What would Jesus have done? If Dennis made this decision it's time he move on cuz he has obviously lost his mind

Not the first time they have mistreated an alum...Bring back Mr. Sheehan

If Trinity is a family than how can you kick a member of it out.....

Like many others who signed this petition, I did not have Mr. Sheehan as a teacher. That being said, I have had the pleasure of talking with him, joking around with him, and seeing how deeply he cares for Trinity. The school had its problems when I graduated. All schools do. But the absolute best thing about Trinity is the wonderful teachers that make the students happy. When I think of the amazing people at Trinity, I think of Mr. Maurier. I think of Ms. Waldrupe. I think of Mr. Smith. And I think of Mr. Sheehan. I truly hope that this petition has an effect, but we must admit that it is possible that Mr. Sheehan does not come back. But the best thing about Bill Sheehan is that even if this happens, he will not stop being a pioneer. He'll still care for every single kid that ever walks through the doors of Trinity High School and will do so until the day he dies. Thank you Mr. Sheehan. Trinity High School administration: I strongly urge you to reconsider.

Please bring back this awesome teacher.

You will never find a more moaral/ethical person. I worry about the families that will now leave trimity

Bill Sheehan is one of the all time great guys. He's a great teacher and a compassionate and selfless advocate for children. Whoever is responsible for him. It. Ring in the classroom needs to examine their decision and reverse it immediately. This is unchristian, cowardly and senseless.

Not just because Bill is a friend, but because he relates to kids so effectively. I have two whose lives he influenced in a profound way.

Billy is one o the nicest person I know...shame on Trinity!!!

The greatest teacher and heart and soul of Trinity.

Never had him as a teacher, but I would still consider him one of mine. He was always there to help me out with the subjects in my study halls. No matter the conversation you had with him, you would always walk away with a smile.

This man understands how to get through to students. And was one of the coolest teachers ive had the pleasure of meeting.

Something obviously isn't right if Billy mysteriously left Trinity. He is the epitome of a caring and compassionate teacher and friend.

Billy is one of the most kind and compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I am very lucky to have known him for over 45 years. Trinity is lucky to have such a person to be part of their team.

Billy Sheehan is TRINITY!!!.... my classmate and friend for over 40 years....voted by his class of 79 peers as Mr. Trinity and has continued that for his whole life! Make this right!!!- Jeff

I did not love everything about Trinity but Mr. Sheehan was hands down one of the best things there. I took him senior year for stats and I have never had a more nice and patient man. I loved his class and he would tell me all the time how much he believed in me and knew I would be a great success one day. Now I go to Bentley University and got a 4.0 in stats there and a great deal of that is because of him. Bring him back!

Bill genuinely cares about his students and wants nothing more than to see them succeed. You simply can't let someone like that go. The school and school community is instantly weakened.

I met Billy at Trinity when we were both freshman. I don't know what the issue is, but I know Billy is smart, dedicated, honest, and a loyal friend. Trinity and any school needs teachers like him.

Denny, Pat, et al... Get this RIGHT! Ours is a very small community and we all talk with one another. Do the right thing!!! -Kevin
