This is a petition to plea with the Mets owners, Fred Wilpon and Saul Katz to please bring back Old Timer's Day. I know the Mets don't have as many championship banners or as many years of existence as that other team in New York, but the Mets do have 2 World Series titles, 4 National League titles, 5 Division titles and 2 Wild Card births along with many great superstars throughout their history whether they were in the playoffs or not. Who wouldn't want to see Tom Seaver or Dwight Gooden back in a Mets uniform and pitching to Mike Piazza, Keith Hernandez, Daryl Strawberry or Buddy Harelson? An Old Timer's Day would also go a long way to introduce younger Mets fans to Mets history they might not know much about or have only heard stories about. As a Mets fan I feel not enough attention is paid to the Mets of old so if you agree please sign this petition and Let's Go Mets!!
