This petition is in regards to the concert series Shelby Alive location being moved after 16 years at the uptown historic courtsquare to being moved to the Pavillion. As one of the many concerned citizens, we feel that moving this from the heart of the city to the Pavilion has affected the ability to enjoy the series as before and has cost the city over half the attendance.

The historic courtsquare area allowed for so much more, the aged tree's that provided cool natural shade and grass covered lawn that allowed people to kick off shoes for the comfort of cool temperature beneath their feet. Uptown courtsquare area gave us much more square footage for families with small children, hanidicap, elderly and the vendor's without being so conjested. The historic courtsquare area is the main street of Uptown Shelby.

"We the people", would like to have Shelby Alive Series back at the uptown historic courtsquare area.
