I understand that the lower secondary students do not like being dismissed at 3:25pm but the upper secondary students (especially the Sec 4s) have a lot things that regard school so the Thursday Late Day will definitely benefit us.
With more rest, we can feel more energetic to study and we do not really have to rush for breakfast everyday
upper sec students need the extra study time/ sleep in the morning since we end so late after remedials(not counting cca)
Tbh, this late is the last thing keeping half of the school population alive. The Sec 4s end at like what...5? everyday. It would really really suck if it was removed. If ending on 325 on the Thursday is the issue, perhaps the school can consider shifting 325 to Wednesdays as that's a rare CCA day. It really balances out the week the gives everyone an energy boost in the middle of the week. @School committee, really do consider everyone's feeling in this, not only the lower sec kids, but truly everyone(teachers, students, nonteaching staff).
it gives us more time to sleep, there is no other days for the sec 4s to go for dcs if lets say they have any as we have remedial every day other than friday. students can choose to come early and do their work peacefully. people can go meet up with their friends at macdonalds in the morning. more time to catch up with friends
Bring Back Late Start Days!!!!
Although I’m a lower sec s2 student, I really dont mind starting late and ending late. Although late start thursdays can be not good for some students, it is very beneficial for a large number of students. I personally feel that keeping the late start thursdays will allow our slee schedule to be more regular because late start days are alternated. Being able to start late on two days is really a huge privilege for majority of evg students. It gives us more time to catch up on school work and maybe even take a 10-15mins nap. As a sec 2, we have our sbb this year, so we need to put in a lot of effort to study to be able to get the combination we want. Therefore, we’re studying till late night to be able to achieve our goals. So we have a lack of sleep. I really hope that the late start thursdays will not be removed since its beneficial to many students, especially the upper secondary students.

I really feel like it should be back because it’s really one of the very few days where secondary 4 students can actually get sufficient sleep in the weekdays. Things are just going to get busier for us and we definitely will be sleeping later.
