Why don't you make this country more divisive! You are discriminating on age, gender and appearance. Shame on you!

Kelly is the best! She is an asset to the profession and the channel! Always positive even when you see her out in public. Will no longer watch this channel if you keep people like negative, rude Gene and get rid of a genuine, happy person like Kelly Bates! Bring her back or lose thousands of viewers

I would love to see Kelly back. I think there are enough positions on the weather team to keep them all. The news and weather is on morning, noon, dinner time (3 times) and evening! That should be enough for everyone! Bring her home!

WJAR management, Please provide Kelly with a contract that she deserves. She is a true asset to your station.

This saddens me to see if the rumors are true that she was let go due to being a 49 year old, round female. Women come in all shapes and sizes and no one has room to judge anyone. Plus size women are just as empowering as someone who is a model. This should not have been a decision based on her age and weight. Bring Kelly back!

Bring Kelly back, she was great at her job. Turn to 10, will not be the same without her. I have been a dedicated follower of this newscast for 40 years and if she is going to be back , I will not watch it anymore.

Seriously?! Recently voted best female meteorologist, a professional in all senses of the word…and you’re downsizing her because you literally want someone that’s sized down, get your heads out of your asses, admit your mistakes and bring Kelly Bates back…Every other advertisement for NBC channel 10 totes the longevity of the news and weather crew that have been there for years and here you are cutting somebody that has been there and has always been a professional for years… Your messages do not coincide, actions speaking so much louder than the words that you have advertised with!

I so look forward each weekend to watch/hear Kelly provide our weather report. She is a true and knowledgeable professional with the gifts of making such positive connections with the viewers as well. I strongly request that she be brought back to her position as she brings such high quality values to the station.
