Sinclair broadcast is a corporate trash bag run by patriarchal, body shaming, jerks. Kelly deserves better

Kelly Bates is one of the best meteorologists around. Her reports are always informative and entertaining. I think the abrupt manner in which she was dismissed is shameful. I think I will need to find another station to follow if this is how decisions are made at this one. (I guess Art Lake was lucky he worked when he did, otherwise he'd probably have been booted the same way.) Bring Kelly BACK!!

Kelly's reports were always upbeat and informative. I loved how she added tidbits of info about the weather rather than just reading off a boring script.

Kelly is a gem and an informed meteorologist who always brought a spark to the tv screen. Shame on Channel 10. We must demand a stop to replacing great women with younger and less experienced ones. Everyone deserves a chance, but this stinks of ageism and body shaming. I will not watch again and I know thousands of people who feel the same. Gene has been terrible for years but the bigwigs cowtow to male viewers and owners. The idea to support old men and stomp on older women is disgusting and outdated. Channel ten is going to have a force to reckon with.

Ya know Sinclair…people know how to read between the lines. I’ll be straight, your time in NE is coming to an end. In fact, all news programs may be coming to an end and people will follow honest independent journalist via streaming.
You broke what was not in need of fixing.

I will be tuned to WPRI till Kelly returns.Sinclair is a poor fit for this area,no matter how they try to endoctrinate the viewers. They are not into quality, substance is not in their realm of understanding.

Bring Kelly back. She is a Rhode Island treasure! She is extremely competent and knowledgeable. I watch the news and weather at channel 10 because of her. I always feel I am in good hands with her reporting the weather.
BRING KELLY BACK to where she belongs!!!
