I love Kelly. She was by far the most personable person on channel 10. She will definitely be missed. What a BIG mistake to let her go.

You offered a contract right? Well then let us all see exactly what was in it then! Because I can only imagine what was, and I'm not imagining good things.

You have such a beautiful soul… an infectious spirit… and during my time at The Dime, you inspired me, taught me, and just accepted me. I will never forget how much you guided me, even if you didn’t know you were. My high school days, way back when, started out every morning with Frank Colletta and Kelly Bates. And then I got to work with you, you legend.. and other legends…. A time I will never forget. Thank you for all that you have done for the community. You will be back. But in the meantime, enjoy this time to yourself… and remain open to amazing new adventures that surely lay ahead for you. You are wonderful.

Kelly is the best. I can’t believe it. I’m absolutely pissed. I don’t see the logic. She’s my favorite at NBC10.

Terrible. I always loved Kelly Bates, she is fantastic and relatable. I knew right away when they hired the younger Kelly love it was to replace her. Seriously disgusting. Lost my loyalty and sharing this disgusting news with everyone I know

Her personality alone keeps me viewing in. I hope The reason for this firing has nothing to do with her weight. That’s discrimination. She is so accurate with her weather reports. Is it her age? Because that’s discrimination too. I met Kelly and Dan one year at one of the Air Showsi at Quonset. She s personable. She’s friendly, and her laugh is infectious. If the station feels they have too many meteorologists, then it’s usually the last one hired is the first one fired. I’ve always watched ch 10, as did my parents. But this move is so unfair. Is she not doing her job correctly?. Was she rude or crass on TV? Looks like my family will be changing the channel to 12 at 6pm every night now. SHAME on you for allowing this to happen to such a warm and pleasant weather person. Bah Bye
