Kelly Bates reflects who I am and who many us are. We're not young, skinny, beautiful models. We're real people with decades of experience, curves and even a few gray hairs. It's clear that channel 10 has much to learn about diveristy.

Seriously, if Sinclair/WJAR10 doesn’t understand their audience, they should get out of the media business.

So disappointed with the actions of this channel. You brought in a younger person and gave Kelly less hours. She likely elected not to renew her contract because the station was giving her a bad deal. You have lost a faithful viewer.

Sad to see Kelly depart. She was a very knowledgeable meteorologist and clearly presented forecasts in an understandable manner.

Very sad, she is experienced and is able to explain thing in a folksy way that children & the elderly can understand. Those skills are rare. Please bring her back!

Kelly did afine job. If she was fired for not meeting "image standards" then Karma needs to get to work here

Sinclair broadcasting/channel 10--you have lost me as a viewer and many of my friends and family too! Kelly was not just a meteorologist but a part of the community. Her fan base is wide. You may think the younger version is better but it's not. Shame on you for letting go of an employee who has been loyal for 20+ years because she no longer fits your description of what she should look like or her age. 2 words for you-- YOU SUCK!
This is no joke!
