Sinclair really doesn't belong in this market. If I were Kelly, I'd be happy that I don't have to associate with this company any longer. Kelly, you're better than Sinclair!

Of the three local news and weather broadcasts in Rhode Island, I have continually watched Kelly Bates for the weather forecast. I liked her cheerful, accurate presentation of the weather more than any of the other meteorologists. Could it be you wanted a skinny, pretty little thing to replace her? I’ll NEVER watch your channel for news and weather again.

Being channel 10 is Sinclair makes it hard enough to watch, but the team behind the desk makes it worth it. Like many Rhode islanders I have no problem switching to another channel if you are going to get rid of the faces we know in exchange for younger people.

Please bring Kelly back. She was a great weather woman! I was so upset hearing the news. Obviously, some type of discrimination is at play! Down with ageism!

They say she refused to sign new contract. What did the stipulations say? They need to be accountable for their body shaming. She did her job and very well

I grew up with watching Kelly, now she’s being traded in for a younger version like a minivan? This is a perfect example of how we view women in this country. BRING KELLY BACK. Also, give her a raise and an apology.

Kelly does not deserve to be disrespected the way she was let go from her profession; but channel 10 does. Enjoying channel 12!

My family and I have been loyal NBC10 viewers......until this happened. You can call it blue when it's red if you'd like, but WE ALL know what's going on here. Eye candy is nice, but NEVER at the cost of tenure, talent, experience, and professionalism.....not to mention loyalty. Shame.....shame

Kelly Bates you are wonderful. You are a knowledgeable professional. Age and beauty means nothing it should be about delivering the weather by someone honest and that you can trust.

Kelly Bates is one of the finest meteorologists NBC 10 has had the privilege of employing. Her well spoken news casting and bright personality brings many of us to your morning show. Please bring her back !
