I’ve been watching Kelly Bates for decades. She’s such an upbeat, well-informed, trustworthy weather person, who knows how to interpret the complicated weather patterns here in Rhode Island.
Is Sinclair failing to meet her salary and benefit requirements because she is not a typical ridiculously skinny weather person? I can’t help but wonder about that.
Please bring her back.

Channel 10 is the LOSER re: the treatment and actions done to Kelly Bates. WJAR was previously a professional and classy station. Now they are having most of the women there wearing very tight and short attire, which we feel is in POOR taste.. We will NOT be "turning to 10" anymore.

I refuse to watch the new til kelly is back! I’ll get my weather from the app until then! This is horrible ! She has been loyal to us Rhode Islanders come he’ll or high water ! She deserves to be rewarded for that loyalty not cast aside for some superficial reasons! I love the fact that kelly is a real woman! Watch her is like getting the news from one of my girlfriends

Sinclair made me less of a watcher. The thinly veiled right wing “newsyish” blather was a shock to local journalism. Now this.
I’m done. I will be vocal about the appearance of the Sinclair cancer that is demonstrated upon us.

I enjoyed Kelly's forecasts and am disappointed Channel 10 refuses to treat her as the valuable meteorologist she is. Won't be watching her replacement.
