How sad that Sinclair Broadcasting treats an employee this way? This is not what Kelly deserves after all her years of loyalty and being great at her job. Kelly, something better will come your way! Shame on Channel 10. Count me as another person that will not be "turning to ten" any longer.

How does a woman who is voted best of RI year after year suddenly lose her job??? Bring Kelly Bates back!!! She's amazing & was the best part of weekend sunrise! So disappointing!

So sad that they let her go. She’s a real woman, a real person and an amazing meteorologist. To be replaced by younger, thinner and easy on the eyes person is disgusting this day and age. I loved Kelly Bates for being a real woman and not what corporate America thinks we should look like. I’m done watching channel 10. Hello channel 12.

Kelly Bates is awesome, changing her and putting the "cute" one on or the one with the BIG nose is just upsetting. I will not watch WJAR 10 until she is returned to the highest position held. I have also asked my entire RI family to support me in this boycott of WJAR 10. Also, you should retire R J Heim too, now he is just annoying.
