You people should be ashamed of the way you treat people like they are just a number. This has been her life her career and we followed her every step of the way. Sinclair cannot recognize the best meteorologist in RI? Kelly Bates is poised, humorous, sharp, on her game and much-admired in RI. This is a huge mistake and you have given my family the reason to switch the station off Channel 10. Bring her back and you owe her and the rest of us an apology.

Have been watching channel 10 all my life, but channel 10 did not realize this poor decision to treat Kelly Bates this way is going to backfire.
Channel 10 , the longtime leader in this area, is spiraling down and will loose its position.
Whoever is making these personnel decisions, is making big mistakes.

To: Vic Vetters, the General Manager of the Providence-based (nefarious) Sinclair Broadcast Group affiliate. Shame on you and your greedy corporation. You didn’t offer her a REAL contract. You went with someone younger to pay them less. We know your stock holder games. And how women are treated in the misogynist workplace. Have you no dignity? *Kelly Bates is a stellar meteorologist. She’s a staple, a pillar, professional female role model for RI & New England . She brings US sunshine everyday! I worked with her before it was a SINclair affiliate. I know first hand how wonderful she is. You may want to re-access your actions. There will be a boycott!

You’re s stupid! This cluster and that horses ass Gene Valancente he’s a real jerk. I can’t stand him. He’s in live with himself and he uses his radio to make excuses for dumbo trump. Why did Frank Colletta retire with no fan fare? That letter he was forced to read? He was too good for Sinclair too. So I s Kelly. Too good for those autocrats. Just like their hero dumbo Donnie. No more TV 10. And I’m going to make a list of the people who advertise with you and publish it and urge people to boycott those businesses. That should get some attention.

Will definitely miss her only watched channel 10 news on weekends for Kelly Bates Be watching Channels 12 and 6 during week. Guess I will be watching news on these channels all week. Will not be watching channel 10 SHAME on your management

I’m appalled as a professional and degreed woman that we continue to live in a society in which age and size outweigh talent. You’ve lost my viewing. Frankly, the one to be let go should be the one(s) responsible for her termination. I’m sure legal counsel will reach out to her protection under the ADEA and EEOC.
