She’s intelligent, straightforward, personable and has a perfect delivery. Nbc10 started to lose me with the “Boris” op eds. I am now completely turned off.

For many years, I specifically turned to 10 for Kelly's forecast. She's to-the-point, pleasant, and always professional. If she's gone, then so am I as a viewer.

Out of all the RITV stations, My go to was channel 10 mainly for weather with Kelly. She has the best flowing description of what to expect with the weather. Socially Kelly has always been a people person. Never too stuck up to stop and talk with a viewer and always enthusiastic to explain the concept of weather to a youngster interested in meteorology. Just want to share a personal experience which I was taken aback by...Not regarding Kelly, but Gene Vallicente. My stepfather once yelled out to Gene "hello Gene" great job, while we were stuck in traffic near the state house. Mr. Vallicente just snubbed his nose in the air (an egotistical, arrogant gesture)not a very friendly newscaster. I was embarrassed for my stepdad and dissapointed with Mr Vallicente's lack of simple acknowledgement. In any event Ive been a loyal channel 10 patron most of my adult life. Well after Frank retired things changed but now you have certainly changed for the worse. I will no longer continue to be a patron of channel 10. Big mistake offering Ms. Bates a poorly composed contract only for the benefit of the station and simply a slap in the face to Ms. Bates.. The old adage, "you don't know what you've got till it's gone" definately will ring true when the dust settles. Too bad for you Channel 10. Now what are you going to do?

Love Kelly bates. I've watched channel 10 since I was a kid because my mother knew Art Lake et al. from the Outlet Company days. I have stopped watching channel and won't go back - ever. I hope Kelly gets something much better somewhere where she will be appreciated.

I have always watched channel 10 WJAR, I will no longer watch unless you bring
Kelly Bates back full time in her choice of time slot .Never will ever watch WJAR unless you pay attention to all of us!
