This has becoma a tradition. It was so sad walking over there today. The people working don't even want to be there.

Plus there will be food vendors there as well as food trucks. The only thing that according to the info they have on their website that will be missing is the carnival part of it. Sounds good to me.

So you would erect a fence around the whole area and require all people entering to show proof of residency to enter? Who is going to pay the extra workers to man the entrances? Not to mention the chaos that it would cause with the long lines to get in.

It was broke. Too many punk ass kids causing trouble and running over the small children that would go there with their families. There is no way that this year will be like last year. No matter how many people sign this petition.

It can't be held in the library parking lot due to construction. It can't be held at the rec center parking lot because when Mayor Elliot redid the lot last year he had the electric and water hook-ups removed. It would cost the city $200,000 to re-install them. The original Homedays that was put on by the city consisted of exactly what it will have this year. The rides were paid for by the boosters during the original Homedays. It doesn't matter how many people sign this petition, the rides and venders will not be in this year's Homedays. The city has no money. We are lucky there will even be what there is this year.

I looked forward to Homedays every year during my childhood. Now that I have a child, I'd like for him to experience it as well. No other cities homedays compares to Brook Park. However, if they give away with Homedays - I will spend my money at surrounding cities for my son to enjoy rides/games/fair food.

This has always been a tradition in my family my mom grew up on sand hurst and so did I when my grandpa passed away in 1999 it was the only thing that kept me happy around the forth because it was his favorite holiday. I get to comeback and see the people who helped shape who I am today. People love the chance to catch up with old neighbors and have their kids experience the life of a small town gathering. We do not get this chance anymore as the city is expanding into the suburbs. This is a legacy that all children and adults love and should be able to continue to love!
