We don't believe there should be a learning based reward system at Brimington Junior School as not all the children have the same educational abilities. This is leaving the children that struggle or find their work hard, walking around with a label in the form of a coloured band.

As a parent your child may be coping well with the learners code but please take the time to consider the children that have little chance of advancing up the learners code.

Golden time was a behaviour based rewards system that rewarded the children at the end of each week for good behaviour. The children got to choose an activity to engage in such as wood craft, baking, sewing , free play, kenex, den building and arts & craft etc.

Please only sign once per child currently in school

E.g. If you have 2 children you may put down 2 signatures....these must be by a different parent/guardian each time as the petition will only allow one signature per email or Facebook account.

Please put the name, year and class of your child in the comments box so that we can verify that you have a child in school.

I've have been asked to add Mary Swanwick School to the petition so they can petition against the bands at their school too!
