I've know Father Nick since we were blessed with him joining St. Athanasius almost 28 years ago. He has shown only kindness, great spirituality, love, compassion, understanding, kindness and dedication to his parishioners and everyone he meets. I was 19 years old when Father Nick came to Saint Athanasius and he is a beacon of faith. My father died when I was 25 years old and Father Nick with his kind words and gentle way, helped me in that terribly sad time. I will always be grateful. Father Nick also baptized my two boys and niece and wed my husband and I, joyous memories that were more joyous because Father Nick was at the altar. When my husband (who is Italian/Irish and Catholic) recently saw Father Nick at the festival, he extended his hand to shake Father Nick's. Father Nick instead responded by giving my husband a big hug. This Father Nick's way -- he welcomes and embraces people. Father Nick belongs on the altar of St. Athanasius leading his congregation in his loving and caring way. The parish's hearts will remain broken without him.

I would like Father Nicholas Kastanas reinstated back into the Arlington Greek Orthodox Church .

I personally do not know Fr. Nick, but I know people who do and they all speak volumes of he's a great person. When people speak up for a man like this I can't help but agree and support this petition.

I have known Father Nick all for 39 years of my life he his a loving caring kind of guy "Bring Him Back"

When will there be an answer to this. Bishop Anthimos back in the '80's did a despicable act and he was moved to another parish. Shame on the Metropolitn and the Metropolis. Get rid of the council like you have once in Lowell. They are corrupt, not the priest!!!

A terrible injustice has been done to Fr. Nick and the parishioners of St. Athanasius. Bring back Fr. Nick. He is a good man.

Father nicholas kastanas has worked over thirty three years and is responsible for the large parishioners .His work is exemplary or he would not have worked for such a longtime If that is not true .Bishop Methodios predecessor Bishop Anthimos Drakonakis was the Greek Bishop of Boston from 1979 until 1983 .Bishop Drakonakis was known in Boston as the black prince of the Greek Orthodox Church Bishop Drakonakis was accused of molesting woman and young girls .One who the bishop bothered and her dad was a Greek priest working in the chancellor office .Both the lady and her dad went in the Larry King show and voiced their concerns that the bishop was allowed to work and transfer by the Greek church to another parish .The Greek church had punished both her dad a priest who worked for Bishop Drakonakis where he was thrown out of the Greek Church and instead of working as a priest had worked at a McDonald's selling hamburgers .This is a message for Bishop Methodias where father Nick is si pure and loved by his parishioners .I feel you should reinstate him back to the Arlington MA .If the Greek Church can forgive Bishop Drakonakis then there must be some place in your heart to forgive Father Nick who has done nothing or at least promote him a Decon and allow him to teach at the Hellenic College .This is more being addressed to Bishop Methodias . THIS. IS. A. DISGRACE!!! Four, incompetent, 'board members', took it upon themselves to dismiss a highly respected and beloved priest A priest who has a quarter of a century of wonderful service to this congregation. There was *never any "turmoil'--I have been going to this church for 20 years and can tell you that the only "turmoil' has been what these 4 board members have now created with this ridiculous act! I'm afraid this needs to be taken beyond Methodios and put forth with the Archbishop. If Father Nick does not return, we will *not* be returning to St. Ahanasius and I know of several parishioners who will respond in kind.

10 Years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer and wound up in the hospital for over a month. Father Nick was there for me with constant visits and phone calls not only to me but to my family as well. I went through chemo treatments twice a month for 6 months and Father Nick would meet me at church at 8 AM every other Wednesday so that I could receive Holy Communion before each treatment. His payers and encouragement helped me in my recovery and I will be forever grateful for all he has done for me and my family. There is no one like him and he can never be replaced. Please reconsider your decision and allow Father Nick to come back to Arlington where he belongs.

Fr. Nick is one of the most loving Orthodox priests I have ever met. I can't believe this.

Please bring back our Father Nick. He is well-loved, intelligent, honest, responsible, well spoken priest who has been good to me, my sister, and my parents, mu husband, and my children for many, many years. He is awesome and the best! he has performed many services for us over years: christening, wedding , funerals, hospital visit, home blessing and many other divine activities. We need him. Praying for your Parish. The higher ups need be to held accountable but I pray it will not be a losing battle, they are hiding behind their titles

I would like Father Nicholas Kastanas reinstated back into the church with backpay .This is an inhumane and a miscarriage of justice for the Greek council and the Bishop to treat Father Nicholas Kastanas .

Bring back the goodness, devotion and strength of Father Nick who, like God, loves mankind.
