Bring back Father Nick. Without him, my family will be joining another parish. And I hope others do the same.

Fr Nick Kastanas First Class Priest, PHD, Former Professor University of Athens and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. The Bishop of Denver did the same thing in Salt Lake City, Utah moved out the Priest Fr Michael Koumentis from one of the largest parish in the Metropolis, who at the time had 1100 Stewards NOW There is ONLY 500 Stewards left. Look at all the testimonials of love and support for our dear and beloved priest, Father Nicholas Kastanas! And all in such a short period of time! It is clear that the members of our church clearly stand behind Father Nick! Whenever you have a group of people the size of our Parish you can never get 100% consensus. Does Metropolitan Methodius have 100% adherence within his flock? I do not know if our current situation is covered in the bylaws of our Saint Athanasius Church but in my opinion I believe we need to have a ballot to vote whether our Church community wishes to retain father Nick and a separate ballot for the parish council. We, the Saint Athanasius community, must have a say so as to whether Father Nick stays or goes!!

I knew Father Nick during my parent's divorce and a very unstable time in my life. He always provided me with joy and peace -- I refuse to believe this man caused any true "turmoil" at St. Athanasius.

I rejoined the church and baptized my son largely due to Father Nick.

Father Nick has been a selfless leader. He has served our church with grace and love and has been there for countless families. He has dedicated his life to serving our parish. He deserves to be in our church as the people wish.

I remember growing up as a child and going to the Arlington Greek Orthodox church with my family. I only have great memories to remember from such a great person. I even remember going to Father Nick for my confessions when I was a young teenager. I dont't think all this is fair for him. He belongs where we all remember him being. That is his home to all of us.

Methodios is an evil power- monger. What exactly is he accusing Fr .Nick of. Be specific Methodious. What will you do Methodious, if 90%'of the parishinors leave with Father Nick. church for sale. Fr. Nick is one of the best priests to be found. He is there for whoever needs him. He is so pleasant. Damn you bastard Methodious

I suggest the community get rid of Methodios. He is good for nothing. Father Nick is a wonderful priest. Exactly WHAT is the turmoil that getting rid of Methodious can't cure.

A church shouldn't lose their priest. The people who need him are more important than the internal and political indifferences of operating a parish or whatever reason they claim to have. -Member of Assumption GOC St.Clair Shores, MI

Decisions like this should be made by the whole parish not just a few people. May no longer attend if Father Nick is forced out
