Unfortunately it's all about money in our Church in America. I don't know the details, but I suspect Bishop Methodius is siding again with the parish council, the guys with the dollars... How spiritual !

It is with a heavy heart that I learn about the injustice done to a person who represents Christ and does His work everyday. Father Nick is a TRUE man of God. To Arlington's Parish Council, it is sad that you lack the wisdom to find a solution to your turmoil, as the firing of someone who has dedicated his life to serving God by truly putting God's children first is not a solution. Father Nick has been there for my family members in their most difficult times, as he has for so many. Please bring him back to the parish that loves him so deeply.

I am heartbroken to hear this news ~ I am not Orthodox but my husband and children are ~ I love Father Nick he has helped me through so much heartache. He still keeps in touch with me & my husband died 2 years ago. He is the kindest, truest man of God.He is my spiritual armor ~ he is a true vessel of Christ teachings and has taught me so much. I am devastated to hear this news. I love you Father Nick and will continue to pray for you. As we always end our conversations ~ God is great! Just like God you are always there ~ stay strong, you are loved by so many ~ you are our "rich blessing"! My faith has grown so much because of you.

Absolutely devastated to hear this news.. Fr. Nick helped me grieve and process the sudden death of my father and has been there for me and my mother through every hard moment. I cannot imagine going to church without him there. He is what keeps my faith strong....we love you, Fr. Nick

Bring back the priest who performed our wedding ceremony, and baptized all three of our children!

There was "turmoil" when Christ came to Jerusalem, does that mean that He is to be blamed about it! Furthermore, in that very first parish of Christ and his 12 apostles, one of the "parishioners" Judas created turmoil. Does that mean Christ was at fault! This is the most absurd logic or rather lack thereof I have read in a statement. There will always be turmoil in church, that is why the church on earth is called the militant church as opposed to the triumphant church in heaven.
