For 30 years, Father Nick has brought joy and faith to the Greek metropolis in Arlington, and then has been suddenly released with no hope of being reassigned. Our family has been at the Arlington church since the 1960's. Father Nick has been our priest for almost 30 years. He was always there for us and for everyone, tirelessly working for our Lord. We will always love Father Nick. Please bring him back.
We love Father Nick he has been wonderful to our family. When my Mother was dying he helped us through that difficult time. Who would come to pray with us during a serious snow storm. Keep Father this is a terrible decision. We love you Father Nick.
Father Nick was a great comfort to me during the passing of my Father, he was a kind voice during a difficult time in my life. The parish of Saint Athanasius in Arlington can never replace someone of his compassion and grace. Bring him back.
People like father Kastanas are the biggest reason why families feel like they are part of a community at church. This action reeks of pettiness and politics with no thought towards the children and families who he has devoted his life to. Shame.
Father Nick is one of the most loving people I have ever met. He has always been there to support our family through the toughest of times and my fiance and I were thrilled when he agreed to perform our wedding ceremony. Truly heartbreaking news!
Father Nicolas Kastanas is a wonderful Orthodox priest - a person of humility, compassion, simplicity, wisdom and integrity. He exudes a sense of joy and φιλοξενία, and universally offered a warm welcome to everyone who came to the parish - including visitors to the Boston area, of which I was one. I am deeply grateful for his kindness and support during the loss of a loved one and respectful and appreciative of his mentorship on spiritual aspects of music. Father Nick is a 24/7 priest - one of the most selfless and hardworking people one could ever meet. If one had to select a single word to describe Father Kastanas, it would be αγάπη, a word that beautifully reflects how he has treated all of us. One could not help but feel inspired about Eastern Orthodox Christianity after interacting with him. I hope and pray that Father Nick may be returned to active ministry within his beloved parish of St Athanasius.

Bureaucracy over community once again. Hard to imagine any valid reason to create such a bad precedent for the generations of priests that will come after father Nick. Whoever this guy Methodios is, likely has hurt the church more than anyone else.
Our family has been at the Arlington church since the 1960's. Father Nick has been our priest for almost 30 years. He was always there for us and for everyone, tirelessly working for our Lord. We will always love Father Nick. Please bring him back.
