This program literally saved my life by showing me how real the consequences are. Why would they cut it now when kids are getting their licenses every day? Makes no sense.
There’s a reality that high school kids have not only access to alcohol but also access to cars. The two don’t mix. This program served urgently for that reminder. Nobody should have their life cut short and these assemblies could be the saving factor to many teenagers who could come across this same predicament.
This school has been ignorant enough to end so many essential programs. Every fifteen minutes is critical to influence new drivers to not harm others on the road. Acting like drunk driving isn't a bug is so ignorant, reference the name "EVERY 15 MINUTES" someone dies in a drunk driving accident. It's embarrassing that my school wants to get rid of something so important.
Every Fifteen Minutes is a hugely culturally important event on the GBHS campus. As someone who recently got their license (and knows many of their friends have to/are going to), I see this event as incredibly important for us all since it hits our specific demographic and teaches us incredibly in depth and nearly hands-on how dangerous driving can be when under the influence/distracted. I am in full support of bringing Every Fifteen Minutes back so that each student can understand the depth of the topic.
I am a GB alum (2025) but E15 was super poignant for me and I think everyone should have the chance to experience it.
