As a physician-patient I can vouch for the clinical excellence of Dr. Zucker’s care. He tells it as he sees it but he always has the patience to explain his recommendation for what needs to be done to maintain good cardiac health.
The fact that he has so many patients following him is a great tribute to his ability to provide his brand of care. He never loses his cool and his wry sense of humor worked wonders for me. I’m not privy to the reasons for him being put on administrative leave but I’m guessing that it may have originated from some people who may be just ill informed of what a doctor is supposed to be. Anything but reinstating Dr Zucker to his office and his titles would be a loss to Newark Beth’s reputation as an ethical and pro-patient medical center.

Dr. Zucker has always looked to find that possibility to save a patient’s life when others have turned their heads. He is a people’s doctor and an out-of-the-box thinker. Many lives could have been lost if it wasn’t for him and the team. His leadership has transformed the transplant program at NBI into the successful powerhouse that it is today.
