Please bring Dr. Zucker back. He held the heart of my late husband in his hands 17 years ago and transplanted it into a man who is still living strong, under the doctor’s expert and compassionate care. The heart recipient and his wife have had 17 extra years together because of Dr. Zucker’s expertise. Our donor family have had 17 years - and counting - of blessings, knowing Jim’s heart is giving life. Dr. Zucker knows everything about the recipient’s health, who depends on his guidance. The doctor has saved many lives, not just by transplanting, but also by following up over the years after. His patients will go to him wherever he ends up. Please keep Dr. Zucker with you.

My father, Mr. Manuel Soufront at age 74 yrs old was given only a 50/50 chance to live after his diagnoses of advance stage of Congestive Heart Failure. Dr. Zucker has helped to stabilize my dad’s health for the past 17 yrs. I am happy to say my dad will be celebrating his 93rd birthday in January, 2020. It will be a great disservice to obliterate all the great work he is doing for this hospital, for this community based on heresay from Propublica. We chose Beth Isarael even after getting 2nd & 3rd opinions from the likes of Dr. Mehmet Oz and his team at Columbia Presbyterian due to the reputation of Beth Israel, Dr. Zucker and his team.

Dr. Mark Zucker is an exceptional doctor and a morally ethical human being. He continues to be the head and heart of our transplant community and family. He epitomizes The Good Samaritan as a compassionate man who unselfishly helps another when all hope is lost. We trust him. He is our doctor and true friend. God bless him always!
Doctor Zucker personally saved my husband’s life. He was the driving force behind Joe’s heart transplant almost four years ago. Dr. Zucker trained his exceptional team to assist us in my husband’s struggle to survive. Dr. Zucker guided us and held our hands thru fifteen years of heart failure at NBI and gave our family hope thru months of post-transplant recovery and hard work. He gave our children their vital, loving Father back. Dr. Zucker and his team gave me back my best friend and husband of thirty-three years now. Dr. Zucker never wavered in his dedication to our family. He has our full and unwavering support. Our Family considers this extraordinary physician- Dr. Mark Zucker to be vital to Joe’s continued survival.
The Spinella Family does not accept or condone Dr. Zucker’s continued mistreatment by NBIMC/RWJ-Barnabas and by the Press and we hold them both morally accountable. We ask that Dr. Mark Zucker be reinstated as The Director of The Transplantation Program immediately. RWJ-Barnabas must engage a public relations expert to help to reinstate Dr. Zucker’s impeccable reputation to its full stature. Additionally,
RWJ-Barnabas must also monetarily compensate Dr. Mark Zucker for full damages.
Sincerely,
Nicole and Joe Spinella

It is heart warming to read the countless testimonials that continue to build. A man of the highest integrity, compassion, and medical acumen, Dr Zucker has embraced and tended to each of us as family.
The comments mentioned in the ProPublica article, void of context, are egregious and dangerous. An evil has been perpetrated and precious lives hang in the balance. Humble your pride, exonerate this incredible human being, and let his masterful skill continue to shine for the service of others. If not for him, I would not be here today enjoying the gift of family and friends.

Please reinstate Dr. Zucker as Director of the Cardiothoracic Transplantation Program. He has done wonders for the transplant program, NBIMC and his patients. He's one of the best mentor in healthcare that I've had the pleasure working with as my collaborating MD. I really appreciate his dedication to details, his wealth of knowledge, his love and openness to his patients, colleagues and staff. Please bring Dr. Zucker back immediately.

This Dr. saved my bosses life. While I have not been a patient of Dr. Zucker, I’ve seen the
amazing work he has done. One day as I was sitting in the waiting room waiting for my boss, when ran into a former coworker who was coming to see Dr. Zucker for the 1st time. The individual was nervous and scared. After speaking with my boss in the waiting for 5 min, this individual was all in with Dr. Zucker. Both my boss and former coworker celebrated Thanksgiving after a transplant thanks to Dr. Zucker.
