The University at Albany has closed their lower classmen dining halls as well as the Damiens restaurant indefinitely. Not only has this decision limited food options for students with dietary health restrictions and students who are ethnically connected to the diversity of the food, it has diminished many jobs for campus workers. The atmosphere created by these eateries was one that felt like home. This inclusive factor was a crucial necessity for our culturally diverse student body at Ualbany. Especially for our black and brown students. By signing this petition you will not only stimulate support to bring back these eateries, you will also be acknowledging the need for change to prolong the diverse atmosphere we felt when arriving at campus.

Bring Damiens back now!! It was the only place I felt I could find food that I enjoyed.
In this time of year it is best to provide students with the necessities and that includes a dining hall where it is their main social place.
Damiens beought a lot of diversity in the fried food department. With both the dining halls and Damien's closed there has been an immense loss in food diversity.
i was on campus first semester, and the dining hall was perfectly fine, and damiens was one of the best places in the CC

why close the only place that actually had flavor on campus? this is ridiculous and ualbany needs to stop taking away everything we actually use.
