I have spent the last 24 hours thinking about what I wanted to comment... I've spent a lot of time doing research on the USAA Swim website, reading their bylaws, Club Team recognition program, and getting familiar with what a truly ELITE club team is... Todd has been doing EXACTLY what a head coach should be doing, and the athletes are doing EXACTLY what they be should be doing.... Where there seems to be a problem is communication and transparency between the parents and the board.... My daughter has blossomed under Todd, she is a sophomore if there is a slight chance for her or ANY other team athlete to get even a partial scholarship to college then a decision of such magnitude should have been discussed with the parents!!!! We are a parent owed team as far as USAA Swim is concerned, On the website it states that board meetings are open, but there is no schedule, no minutes, I do not even see a clear mission statement, I think it is laughable that this team does not even have a level 4 ranking with USAA swim considering the talent and experience of the leadership.... I truly believe the team could be a level one team but not with the non transparent, lack of cooperation and lack of communication we currently have

I don't care about what my coach has done wrong in the past, but what I do care about is how he's transformed the present and my future. Please be respectful to our coach and our team.

The interesting part here is it that file does not state what is happened since then. I've coached three teams to national championship titles at the college level. I earned a bachelors degree with 3.87 GPA; I have a Masters degree to 3.9 GPA. Also I have a Full Pardon with a the right to own and possess a firearm from the governor of Florida. Full Pardons are granted one out of every 100,000 that apply and generally take about 6 to 8 years to be granted, I earned my in just under 6 months. Because of the growth that I've had since the time of my early 20s has made me into the dynamic coach that I am today. I have traveled the path less traveled and I have come out on the other side in the positive light. My past mistakes serve as reminders to younger kids of today that there are ramifications for your actions. I have been able to use my past as a way to teach lessons of responsibility and accountability, not mention shame, humility, repentance, hard work, respect for athority....thank you.

Coach Todd has been a great role model for our children. Who are we to judge past mistakes of others. All it matters is that he is now an amazing coach that cares and wants the best for our children.
