Ever wonder if a smartphone app is still running and consuming resources e.g. memory &battery in the background ? In recent years there has been a general trend towards "sloppy" programming which has either neglected this or thinks it is no longer important. And it would seem that this trend is drifting into PC and iOS programs too...

Many people like to know that they are in control of the programs/apps they use. And have finished using ! It's a natural thing towant to turn things off when they are finished with them.... without wondering.
