Oh my gosh! I am so glad that this is happening. I transfered to Fruitland my senior year and was so sad there was no choir. I transfered from Borah high in Boise where I would've been in 3 choirs my senior year and was planning on being a music major in college going into Music Education. I was so bummed out to find out I couldn't take choir. Choir was a huge part of my life from the time I was 6, from regular school choir to honor choirs and traveling for competitions, I can't imagine my life without choir. My senior year I ended up signing up for classes at TVCC. Choir is a class that should be in everyschool!

It is very crucial to have a choir. School was really hard for me and did I didn't have Choir to enjoy . Who knows if I would have even graduated. Also because of Choir I got many scholarships to pay for my college.

I believe in the power of voice. I believe in allowing students self expression and happiness through singing. I believe in the subtle nuances in creativity that vocal discipline teaches students, that they WILL carry with them throughout an entire lifetime. I believe in the community building aspects of vocalizing with a group. I believe in bringing back the choir program to the students of Fruitland High
School.

Being in choir in middle and high school were some of the very best times of my childhood. Music arts builds confidence and strength of character. I would love for my children to have the same kind of cultural opportunities that I had.

We moved to Fruitland from Baraboo, Wisconsin this summer and our 7th grader was sad to learn there was not a choir program. We would love and wholeheartedly support a choir program in the district.

Absolutely in strong favor of hiring a teacher and providing a high school choir in Fruitland. This has been a tough void for me living in this community knowing my children wouldn't have what was my niche in high school and what gave me and my siblings college opportunities. Bringing it back now would happen just in time for my children to benefit from it!

A choir is a home for so many students in school. The school is healthier with it.
