As a former senior I can confirm that senior quotes, as well as cap and gown photos, are some of the most memorable traditions for a senior and their family. East View is now my alma mater, and I am grateful that I can always look back in my yearbook and reflect on each person’s character by what they have used for their quote, as well as remember how nice we all looked in our cap and gowns (I know my family and friends are grateful for this too). Ultimately, I understand that this is your decision. However, I kindly ask that you reconsider for the memories that these traditions leave. Thank you((:

I feel personally that this a great thing to look back on after high school and a fun tradition that can help carry advice and or a funny message to the lower class men respectfully please reconsider this decision thank u

While I’ll admit that I’ve still only heard rumors, I simply don’t understand the decision to take away senior quotes. Senior quotes are a fun past time meant for laughs and good memories. I don’t really see any reason at all to take them away other than that sometimes they become a bit inappropriate. If that’s the issue, simply make it clear that if your quote is not valid you won’t have one. I really don’t want to have any preconceived notions about our new yearbook teacher because I don’t want to judge someone off the bat, but coming in and making a decision like this just seems like a power grab. Whatever the case, I hope that this situation can be fixed with civility on both sides.
