Those of you who are fans like myself know that the charming ABC Family show "Bunheads" starring Broadway star Sutton Foster and created by Amy Sherman-Palladino was cancelled in July. I came across the series late not having time to watch it during it's run but I watched the first season in it's entirety on Amazon Instant Video and I was hooked. This show, while exhibiting all the characteristics of a chick-flick comedy, also show a deep respect for the art of dance and a strong message about body-image and inner beauty. Even beyond that, it's hilarious with the witty-fast-talking dialogue we've come to know from the "Gilmore Girls" creator. Not to mention this show is littered with references to "Game Of Thrones" and films such as "Single White Female" and more.
I'm creating this petition in the hopes that we can show the Hollywood higher-ups that this show HAS an audience. Maybe ABC Family wasn't the channel for such a show? It seems ABC Family is more interested in their shows about hot teens with secrets or who don't know how to use protection. Be that as it may, it is not impossible for a cancelled show to be revived and I believe in the power of "back by popular demand." Let's show them that bringing back this show is worth while.
