I also moved here about 15 months ago. I also do not know any neighbors other than the one next door to me (I live on a corner lot), and the one directly across the street from me.

I miss the days of when all the community would get together. Which is one way to get to know eachother. Please let this happen.

I moved to Burbank 17yrs ago with my parents. To this day my parents have only got to know the next door neighbors to the left of their house. One family moved in them another loved in and that’s the only ones that talk with them. They have no clue who else lives on the block. I myself moved to a different part of Burbank in 2012. The only neighbors that at least wave to me are the ones across the street. My kids just watch as the other neighbor kids play with each other but we don’t get invited. I think block parties are a great way to bring Burbank neighbors together and get to know each other. It’s sad that I know my aunts neighbors in Chicago more than my own due to block parties every year held on her block.

I always organized block parties Where I Lived in the city and when I moved To Burbank My husband Informed me It Was A no I was Upset I wanted To Do One In the summer For neighbors and kids To get to know the block and was sad It Couldn't Happen.

Block parties are a great way to interact with your neighbors and get to know them as well! Everyone in the block party gets together and enjoys a summer day with fun for the kids, the adults as well

We have quite a few kids on our block (I have 2 as well) and this would be great to get to know the parents and the others that don't have children. Also, if a child is down my block and something happens to them, the neighbor will know exactly where to bring them or if he/she is doing something they shouldn't be, the neighbors will know where they live to inform the parents. This is a great idea.
