well written..shows WW1 at different propsective which is very rare compared to ww2 or even the civil war

my mom who is 90 years old and myself really enjoyed the series.Not only was the acting great but it was so touching to see the war from a female nursing perspective. Was the show not male enough for the BBC?

The Crimson Field was one of the most compelling dramas I've seen on PBS. As a retired Army nurse, I so appreciated how well it was written and acted. BBC really made a mistake when they quit this one!
