I just watched episode 1 last night for the first time. It has some of my favourite actors who do an outstanding job and it just seems like such a top show - cannot beleive it was not well received. Even more devastating that the writer had another four series planning. Similar vibes to Call the Midwife so makes me think this was just made at the wrong time. I really, really, really hope they do make a second season to this as it is so a wonderful and important show!

Just watched series 1 with my wife. We thoroughly enjoyed the engaging plot lines and developing characters. Disappointed that it didn’t get the further series it so eminently deserves.

Maybe consider a two hour no wholes barred, action packed finale that ties everything up. Sis. Margaret and QM Soper should "get theirs" by betraying one another, both being stripped of their positions. Him arrested for theft, her sent home in disgrace. Capt and Kitty secretly marrying during the war, her abusive ex-husband found guilty of murdering his new ex bwife and kitty reunited with Sophie. Flora released and reunited with her love.

What a brilliant show! I loved it!! What a change to the normal mindnumbing, crap reality TV we are subjected to. I couldn't wait to watch Season 2...but then found out there was no Season 2. I can't understand why they would cancel such a great show...oh wait...it's to make way for more mindnumbing reality TV!! So annoying

I binged watched this season in a day that is how good it is. I love the historical significance. My favorite characters were Kitty and Tom. Please bring this back or have someone else bring it back to life. Also please bring back all the same main actors. I really enjoyed every single one of them.

I literally binge watched season one in a day and was hoping to see more seasons to follow. Then when I googled it, I saw it was filmed in 2014 and a second season was not going to happen. I hate not knowing what eventually happenes to the characters. Hate it when there is a good show and you get to know and love the characters only to be left handing. Please reconsider more seasons.

I just now had the opportunity to watch The Crimson Field and would love to see someone pickup the show and continue it on into several more seasons though 6 years have past since the original showing.
