The Crimson Field is such a heart touching and realistic drama. It would be such a shame to see it end so soon, especially considering that Sarah Phelp, the screenwriter, clearly had huge plans for the show as she stated that she could see it going on for another four series.

please please bring it back for a second series good t.v is what WE pay our licence for so come on well written and worth watching
I loved the show and couldn't wait for the second series but then i found out there wasn't going to be a second series. This TV series touched me and i couldn't wait for the next episode come on.

After having watched 'The Crimson Field' season one, I don't understand why series two is not being commissioned. I also watched 'Anzac Girls' and thought 'Crimson Fields' was far better. It dealt with problems being experienced in a more realistic way than 'Anzac Girls'. It was grittier and had more depth to it. I also feel that series one was written with another series in mind for there are many unanswered questions; loose ends that need to be tied up. I don't know what age group watched it, but I certainly wasn't around in those days but have been very interested in the television shows and also movies which have been made about this period.

I cannot believe that the BBC are not going to decommission a second series of this brilliant programme. It was different to see the War through the eyes of the doctors and nurse. The characters were interesting and inspiring and the BBC are short sighted in not realising how popular it was..

This played in New Zealand as a 3 part mini series instead of six episodes that the UK got. It was really good, I can't see why it was cancelled it was very well viewed in NZ
