What an idea! A cross between MASH and Downtown Abbey! WW I tends to be grossly overlooked these days, and yet this series has brought the historical period to life! More seasons, please!

I'm really getting tired of well crafted shows being cancelled for no apparent reason. This is the 2nd one that truly caught my attention (the other was Bletchley Circle)..I'm still angry over that cancellation...Come on BBC, don't join in US TV where all the reality shows are mindless replacements for quality shows.

I taught the acting was brilliant. Just something different than waht you see on regular TV. Plus you can't leave the viewers hanging.

There had to be more to every principal character's story! Everything is left hanging, and I need to see more.

Lovely drama. It's kept my interest and the characters are intriguing. Why would you leave us hanging? At least it's good quality film and not a bunch of drug lords and terrorists!

What a beautiful, sensitive piece that offers another perspective in the horrors that accompany war.

This was such a unique and creative idea for a show done during this period. Their are always small plot twists to keep the viewer intrigued, and does a very good job of showing how human each of us are. I especially love the love story of the nurse and the German soldier. All of the nurses have such great and varying personalities that the show grips the viewer because the characters aren't all similar; they are very real. Love love this show!
