It has been brought to my attention that the Lawrence County Fair has done away with all age divisions to compete for Queen titles & court except for 14 years of age and up! This is absolutely unacceptable!!! All of these girls should be given the opportunity to compete, whether they are in kindergarten or 5th grade. This pageant is a positive thing for all of these girls! It gives them more self-esteem and confidence. They make many new friends and learn so much about themselves and the fair! I am meeting with the fair board in May to discuss bringing these divisions back. I need all of your help in doing so!! Please sign this petition and show the board that these girls deserve to compete and that you, as a community, believe in these girls and believe this is important for them!!!
