affordable, accessible emergency contraception is a major goal of the women’s
health advocacy community in the United States.
New AfterPill® 1.5 mg levenorgestrel tablet was launched this summer to meet
that goal by reducing the price of EC to $20 (from $40 to $50 at retail) and to
make EC more available via online access.
To ensure widespread access, AfterPill® has been available online at both www.AfterPill.com and at the world’s largest online retailer, www.amazon.com.
However, on October 31st, Amazon abruptly stopped selling the more affordable AfterPill® and only offers the premium-priced Plan B One-Step®. The executives at Amazon have not provided a legitimate reason as to why they took this action, so we are asking those in the women’s health advocacy and contraception community to stand with us and ask Amazon.com to return the availability of AfterPill, continuing the mission of making more affordable emergency contraception more accessible.
If you believe that Amazon.com should make AfterPill available again as a more affordable option, please take a moment to e-sign this petition that we’ll be submitting to the site. I plan on cutting my purchases on amazon by a third each month the pill is not for sale... and last month I purchased 710 dollars worth of merchandise
I have been a loyal customer for years. Please bring back the AfterPill so that other female customers like me can have access to more affordable emergency contraception.
You will still make ungodly profits, even when offering more affordable emergency contraceptives. So, how about it? Bring AfterPill back, and sell it as well as Plan B.
Many poor women now live too far from clinics to obtain birth control prescriptions. Please bring back this life-saving product.
It's not the abortion pill, and should be available to all! Some people can't get to a store that sells it, and that's why it's so important for Amazon to carry it! Women's health care IS health care.

As a nurse practitioner, I know how important it is for women to have choice, especially those that are not close to a pharmacy that sells emergency contraception.
