My wife and I have only just watched the series having recorded it when it was first broadcast. We thoroughly enjoyed it and, having agreed that it was one of the best serials we have seen in quite a while, felt certain that there would be a follow up series describing how the Zoo developed. Very disappointed therefore to read that the BBC do not propose to do another series. It does seem a very strange decision after they have had such success with the first one. Let's hope your petition helps them to change their mind.

Such a wonderful zoo. I remember riding an elephant round the gardens way back in 50's.
a great series, for old and young alike, v visual, great true story reproduction.
