BBC's excuse for cancelling this show is complete garbage. 'making room for new shows' would be fine, if the show had been running for 4 or 5 years, but it hasn't, it's still a new show! If tjey want to make room for new shows, old ones should be sacrificed. I can't see them dropping Eastenders, Top Gear, Dr Who, Cadualty or any other number of shows though. Damn hypocrites. Also, isnt the point of creating shows to garner a large audience of regular viewers? That requires consistency, if you go cancelling highly rated new shows after 1 season, people eill stop watching new shows altogether. This had nothing to do with good running of a TV channel, its purely about BBC's preferences. Ripper Street was cancelled, despite high popularity, for no valid reason, ss proven by Amazon picking it up. They knew it had value so cinyinued making it. Whoever is making these decisions at BBC is a fool and bad at their job. Chester Chronicle, if this petition gets nowhere, contact amazon for us all and see if they can be persuaded to pick it up like they did with Ripper Street.

One of the best short series programmes I have EVER watched. Absolutely captivating from start to finish, well produced, fantastic actors and a fascinating and true story line. PLEASE DO A SECOND SERIES
