My family loved this show. It was great family viewing and so refreshing after the endless diet of reality TV shows. Please commission a second series.

This is the best TV series I have seen in years. Real quality film making. Funny, dramatic, intelligent and utterly charming. Please bring it back.

Bring it back! Inoffensive programmes should be welcomed, not axed. TV is full of expletives,perversion,the demonic and the immoral. Those should be axed, to make way for Our Zoo and Count Arthur Strong and the like. Don't pander to those who like trash TV.

When the BBC will commission absolute rubbish that will get 920k watching, how on earth can they cancel this great family programme (that if scheduled properly) would have made a mint. This would sell worldwide and when you cancel winners like this you wonder why you have a 150 million pound defecit. Shame on you BBC

Loved watching The Zoo and am very disapointed that there will be no more episodes made there is plenty of the story to be told the BBC should at least finish the story properly maybe you could get ITV to take over the series?

I visited Chester Zoo in the 50 and 60 before emigrating to NZ and never knew the history please bring this back

I really loved this show and thought it was one of the best shows in ages. It was in the tradition of some of the shows that were on when I was younger - suitable for all ages. Good television should be timeless and this series fits that bill.
