Despite it being broadcast for just six episodes, Our Zoo has undoubtedly been one of the best loved shows on television this year and thousands of people have been dismayed to hear that the BBC have decided not to continue telling the story of the Mottershead family with another series.

My husband and I visit my husbands family in Germany every two years but after watching Our Zoo we are coming to England this September and are making a special trip to Chester zoo because of this program . Denise Grunert Wellington New Zealand
To understand the great strides that have been made with animal welfare, conservation and helping to maintain the survival of species the programme sould be shown as this was the start of a great change in our knowledge, education and understanding.
Best television series I've watched with my children for a long time. The attention to detail in the filming brought so many memories flooding back for my parents which in turn sparked some wonderful family conversations. Please consider a second series.
I work at the Oakfield in Chester Zoo and can say that I have become more aware of the zoo's history now, so much so I can pass such information on to customers and guests. Its a great number booster for the zoo and helps put Chester on the map.
It was a lovely series, family friendly and entertaining. The series portrays good family values as as respect for animals. Much more beneficial than shows around promoting celebrity culture and bad behaviour and language. Please make a second series.
I Hope to see what happened to the family and the zoo.

I rarely am obsessed with drama series. But I really love Our Zoo and I was devastated that it ended abruptly when the zoo was just opening up after a hard fight. Please let us enjoy the rest of the story. It's even better that it's based on true events.
