Misty is an excellent person and an even better mother. There’s nothing wrong with their home or either one of them, Azi should be with her daddy, who is an awesome dad and great friend.

I have been following this situation for almost a year, I do not know this family but, from my point of view there is NO reason this child should still be in foster care. Send her home to NC to be with her father and a mother who obvious want her.

Misty babysat for me when my son was younger. She was a young mom too and managed to get her education and take care of 2 young children. She has been through a lot and has raised 4 of 5 of her children. Soon her 5th child will be an "adult" but, he is a high school student and she is still there every step of the way with him. She has been there every step of the way with each of her children-no matter what because they are her children, and has been there for other children. She is an amazing mother and friend. Azi should not be kept in a another state in foster care because of a supervision concern. There should be no concerns. This little girl would have a great rest of her childhood with Misty and her father Tim (whom I have not had the chance to met) Does anyone even realize that Misty has already raised several children some of which are doing great out in the world now or that she is willing to help raise a young child when her own children are grown?

I hope everything works out in the end. Sad for a little girl to be forced to grow up alone in the system when she has a daddy & stepmom that are fighting to love & take care of her. You two keep your heads up & don't give up!

NC should have reviewed this better. No services needed, no child ever taken, so no findings. So, why keep Azi away from her family? Makes no sense. NC DSS is a joke, those workers only care about state funds they will get. This family has done so much to fight to get this child. Look at how many of us agree she needs to be placed! Misty used to babysit on a regular basis and none of those parents had concerns of abuse, neglect, or that they were not properly taken care of while in her care. Ma judge needs to over rule NC's dumb mistake and give her to dad!
